SeaSwitch is a revolutionary wireless switch that replaces mechanical devices in marine and boat electronics applications. Using a combination of  a sealed anti-reflective screen,  microprocessor control and Bluetooth wireless technology, you can create up to eight custom switch positions activated with a single button. You set your own switch names and functions. Custom design it to match your boat electronics system. The NMEA 0183 compatible wireless option allows you to control circuits up to 50 feet away using Bluetooth enabled PDA’s and laptops. Place the main unit in your engine compartment and control up to eight 12 amp circuits from anywhere on your vessel.

SeaSwitch is compact in size, big on function. Use SeaSwitch on your dash to provide control of important electrical systems such as GPS, Sonar, radios, navigation lights, bilges, wipers, blowers, and much more. All circuits are controlled from a single position. The one-piece membrane face is water and corrosion resistant making SeaSwitch ideal for wet-deck applications. A custom designed 4-layer faceplate provides ant-reflective and anti-fog coatings for easy viewing in harsh open water marine environments. An easy to see backlight 24X2 character LCD display shows all switch names and the current status even in bright sunlight. A scrolling menu shows all possible positions and allows you to activate only those you need. A built-in clock and ALL-OFF add to the possible menu positions. You can even program SeaSwitch to display your boat name for security. For interior use, a high contrast Vacuum Fluorescent display (VFD) option is available

Two sealed buttons on the right side of the  SeaSwitch display provide control over all functions. The top button is the menu select. Pressing the water-proof membrane switch will cycle the display through all switch functions. Once a switch position is displayed, depressing the lower button will toggle the selection on/off and update the display to indicate the position. Clock or hour tachometer functions can also be set via menu choices. Upon switch activation, the internal microprocessor will command the eight 15 amp heavy-duty relays.

SeaSwitch is reprogrammable in the field. Use the optional development kit to customize the unit to exactly fit your application. Switch names and positions can be edited with any text editor and downloaded to the unit via serial port or wireless interface. Our software tools allow you make modifications while the unit is running and see changes instantly. Load our display utility on you laptop or PDA and you will be able to remotely view and control all switch positions.

 If you don’t  have a computer – don’t worry. All units come with a one-time setup option when purchased. Just give us your switch names and display positions and we will program your unit for free! After that – if you want to make any changes – just send it in and for a small fee we will reprogram the unit for you.

SeaSwitch can be controlled using NMEA 0183 integrated instrumentation sentences ($IIXDR). Switch states and names are sent out via NMEA 0183 formats so other on-board equipment can control and display status. Optional software can control the unit directly from a laptop or PDA using the NMEA 0182 data standard.

SeaSwitch is housed in a solid one-piece aluminum water-tight box measuring only 6.5" x 2.5"X2.5” to fit easily into any dash configuration. Its small size allows you replace larger mechanical switches while maintaining lighted position display of on-positions. Unlike mechanical switches, SeaSwitch is sealed to the environment and can even be mounted on the open deck. The optional Bluetooth wireless option allows the unit to mounted where the wires are and then be commanded from up to 100 feet  away. Bluetooth is a industry standard wireless technology available in most, Laptops, PDA’s and cell phones. Imagine using our supplied software and your PocketPC PDA to view switch status and activate desired circuits from anywhere on your vessel.

SeaSwitch is ideal for any marine application where space is at a minimum and exposed to the elements. Use SeaSwitch on your open cockpit runabout or sailboat. SeaSwitch is perfect for that river sled or jet boat where keeping water and the elements out of the boat is always a problem.
